I formatted both partitions with the "Format" button. The 14GB partition was formatted OK, but the huge 100GB partition only contained 2GB of free space after formatting. (Looks like some integer overflow in diskdrake). When I used "mkfs.xfs -f /dev/hde" manually, the partition was formatted correctly and has 100GB free space now.
