Become root in a terminal and start xcdroast. It starts up and then in the log 
window the message appears "Starting to scan devices.." and it also lists the 
scsi-emulated cd-rw drive. After this, it stays hung/frozen for more than two 
minutes and re-detects the same cd-rw drive as an ATAPI drive !! Clearly, it 
makes no sense to do that since its the scsi-emulation that is much more 
useful. All drives which are scsi-emulated should, by default, not be 
double-detected as ATAPI devices, by xcdroast.
