After connecting, using for some time and then disconnecting USB2 disk drive,
/sbin/lilo refuses to run, exiting with "Unable to read volid" message.
/var/log/messages shows that lilo tries to access the very same USB disk drive
that has been recently disconnected. No USB/SCSI device is mentioned in
lilo.conf
Actually, I think this situation reflects two bugs :
- Kernel/devfsd/hotplug don't unregister disconnected devices and don't remove
their /dev/ entries
- Lilo tries to access devices that don't appear in its configuration file.
