Summary: Updating Mandrake 9.1 to Mandrake 9.2 RC2
           Product: mandrake-release
           Version: 9.2-0.7mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: packaging
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

After the update the owner of my user's home group was changed from the
username "jc" to user name "501". This made it impossible to start KDE or any
other program in my user home group. The group was the same, but the owner of
all the files in my home group was changed from "jc" to "501" The fix was to
log in as Root and use chown -R to change the owner of my home group from 501
to my user in this case jc.
