I ran a reinstallation to test the update facility, and had some
problems:-( One minor one was that when I saved the new fstab, it
rearranged the entries for me:-(
In some quite arbitrary order, it looked like it sorted first on the
minor number. That is something like

/dev/hda11
/dev/hdd11
/dev/hda8
/dev/hdd8
/dev/hda9
/dev/hdd9

Which is quite incomprehensive, at least for me...

I think it is OK to save additions to fstab, but rearranging them I
would rather not. Also there may be an order that needs to be preserved
in fstab, if some file systems are mounted not on root. I mount a number
of file systems on /boot which is a separate partition for me.
Then I can have the same mount paths for a number of different systems,
and I dont need to create mount directories for each system for my 30
partitions....

Best regards
keld
