It's of course possible. The documentation explains it, btw :).

Select ordering method "by update availability" - sure the name of the ordering
method is rather obscure but it's very hard to find a better one :/.

If you like continual updating (cooker) I advice you to use urpmi though (option
--auto-select) it's more powerful and versatile.

It would be practical to be able to list only packages with older versions
already installed on the system - a checkbox.

Mandrake Update doesn't work with a distro that is continually being updated (=
Cooker), so I use Software Packages Installation to do that. To find which
packages need updating, I now have to browse through every single package with
'Maximum information' to see if there is a 'Currently installed version' and
then select that package.
