See previous bug #3100 a/ Interface selection ---------------------- I had the same problem. Although my USB ADSL modem was detected, I could not select "ppp0" interface in interface choice list. There are only "eth*" interfaces. I do use an USB ADSL modem. Finally, I typed manually "ppp0" but I should not type it myself. b/ DrakConnect frozen --------------------- I configured again my network connections and my Internet connection. I clicked the "OK" button in order to close DrakConnect. Then 2 window appeared. The first window had for title "Veuillez patienter" and it displayed the message "Veuillez patienter... Mise en place de la configuration". The second window had no title and displayed the message "Veuillez patienter[CR]Installation des paquetages...". My CD door poped out of my computer but no message told me which CD to insert. c/ Can't use my ADSL link ------------------------- I verified that the file /usr/share/speedtouch/mgmt.o existed but I didn't achieved to connect to the Internet through my ADSL link. I first attempted to use the DrakConnect tool but it seemed to be without effect (see bug #5362). After a while I tried to join a host on the Internet but without success. Then I tried to connect mannualy with the "/usr/share/speedtouch/speedtouch.sh start" command executed by user root. I changed the "VERBOSE" variable inside this script from "0" to "1". Later I wanted to start my Ethernet link. Thus, in "expert" mode, I clicked the button "Configurer le r�seau local...". A window poped up with the following fields : - "Adresse IP" := "Pas d'IP" - "Masque de sous-r�seau" := "Pas de masque" I did not change anything and simply clicked the button "Activer maintenant". My Ethernet link worked properly (I could transfer a file). If I come back in drakconnect window and choose "internet configuration", it's curious because I don't see the user/passwd, and there is a possibility to select an ethernet card although I use a DSL modem ... Another thing : using the assistant we have choice to launch Internet connexion at startup. Once this choice is done, it's not possible to modify this option with drakconnect, even if you launch the assistant another time.
