Except, a normal user shouldn't need to do such things, even on a laptop.

BTW, were your running tmdns? It is supposed to take care of this for
you (unless drakconnect has gone and hardcoded some other name in
tmdns.conf).

It seems the drakconnect people don't seem to see why tmnds.conf
shouldn't be modified ...
