Wow! That's a very detailed description and it looks like it would improve network configuration (at least for experts) by unmeasurable amounts!
Some additional suggestions: - use nameif to assign names to mac addresses (no more ambiguity!) - have a simplified version for non-experts (attempt to autoconfigure the internet connection(s) and perhaps ask which should be used as default route. But perhaps even this is too advanced for most users? I hope someone can be found to implement this drakconnect replacement! Cheers Simon
