Hello,
Ive installed Mandrake 7.1 a few days ago and Im unable to type french
characters in any KDE-aware application. My keyboard layout is US
english. In every KDE-unaware application (emacs, gEdit, ...) I can type
"" by using Alt_R + "^" and "e". But with KDE application, the same
sequence gives me "^e".
I'm not using the international keyboard module. Is it a bug in KDE? Can I
force KDE to use my settings for X? Is it only a matter of editing a
config file?
Before installing Mandrake 7.1, I was using RedHat 6.1 (with the same
XF86Config) and I did not had this problem.
Thanks.
Denis
