I recently downloaded Mandrake 9.2RC2 and installed it. When I got to the
configuration summary and edited lilo to boot acpi and 1024x768 frame buffer, I
got an error message about some I/O error and the boolader would not install. I
tried it several times, but when it wouldn't take, I left it at the default. I
continued with the installation and rebooted. The screen stopped a the
bootloader and nothing else happened. I know it's not my hardware because I'm
currently running Mandrake 9.1 on my system and it works fine with acpi and
1024x768 frame buffer. There must be a flaw in the installtion script with
9.2RC2. Note, this same problem appeared in the 9.2RC1 installation as well.
