Since it's small and by default doesn't do anything, is there room for ISC's anti-wildcarding BIND patch at this late date? If BIND has to be rebuilt for anything else...?
It never ceases to amaze me that so many vulnerabilities and the like are discovered, reported and fixed less than a week before every Mandrake release. It can't be the traditional Redmond conspiracy to wear out Linux developers and send them to an early grave because it also helps Mandrake-the-distro a lot and I think that'd be against Bill's religion.
