My config is a Dell Inspiron 5000e using an ATI Mobility P video card.
Using the default install of the isos of 9.2RC1 or RC2, X do NOT start.
X setup using xf86cfg give a fatal error.
Using the old XF86config-4 from 9.0 install works great.
Thanks for fixing it.
I need to reinstall to get the exact error messages, if needed ...
