The reason was proably the greek font not being loaded; fixed in today's console-tools

In Greek language Installation, greek fonts are not displayed in text mode
This can be seen by killing the X session or during system shutdown.
When the system starts, text mode greek fonts are displayed OK.
this problem apears in 9.0 and 9.1rc1 &2
