we can reference this monitor by adding the proper line to
/usr/share/ldetect-lst/MonitorsDB file.
format is "VendorName; ModelName; EISA_ID; HorizSync_Range; VertRefresh_Range;
dpms_support?"
such as "Belina; LCD 101715; ..."
you can get your monitor's EISA ID by running the following command:
ddcxinfos | fgrep -i eisa
you can get the proper horizontal and vertical frequencie ranges from
your monitor manual.
if you send me back the right line,[1] i'll add support for your
monitor in the monitor database
[1] that is with the proper frequencie ranges (and the EISA ID if
possible)

description:
Incompatibility with SGI 1600SW monitor; 1600x1024 resolution not available
I have this monitor, and I would like to run Linux Mandrake with a 1600x1024
(native) resolution, as that is what my monitor supports. However, I can find
no way to enable this. Furthermore, my monitor is not under the list of
supported monitors. Thanks.
