------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-18-09 18:58 ------- Here's the script: http://www.richard.neill.hemscott.net/1394mount Also, this one which deals with the microdrive (but doesn't have to do anything with modules). http://www.richard.neill.hemscott.net/cfmount Best wishes Richard -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: External 1394 disks have 2 problems: 1)After the system has booted, one must rmmod all the 1394 modules and then re-modprobe them to get the disk detected. This may be a problem to do with PCMCIA 1394 cards. 2)If there are 2 external removable disks (in my case a 120GB Hard Disk over 1394, and a 1 GB microdrive over a USB Compact Flash reader), then depending on the order in which these are plugged in, either could be /dev/sda or /dev/sdb. This is not predicatable, so, one must distinguish between them before mounting! The URL includes my script (1394mount) to fix the problem. It may not be ideal, but it does work OK for me :-)
