Yes, I did both test and look at /etc/X11/XF86Config-4. Here is the screen
section:

Section "Screen"
    Identifier "screen1"
    Device "device1"
    Monitor "monitor1"
    DefaultColorDepth 24

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 8
        Virtual 1600 1200
    EndSubsection

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 15
        Virtual 1600 1200
    EndSubsection

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 16
        Virtual 1600 1200
    EndSubsection

    Subsection "Display"
        Depth 24
        Virtual 1600 1200
    EndSubsection
EndSection

Note that the above section does not have any numbers other than "1600" and
"1200". The same bug is also in LM9.2rc2.

description:
I tested and configured my system for one resolution: 1600x1200. The
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 generated has _only_ 1600x1200 mode and lower modes
(1280x1024, 1024x768, 800x600, 640x480) are all missing. I have always known
XFdrake to include lower VESA modes in XF86Config-4 file in the past. Is this
change intended ?
