The cardbus network cards is not even initialized during the install (no upgrade) or the following reboots. I tried an other cardbus cards: Netgear 511, same thing. Hot plug or remove and hot plug do not enable the cards. I used the default settings: next button almost every time except for the disk partitioning. As far as I remember it looks like there is a problem with some module insmod at boot time, some bad IRQ ...
