There is a great tool called rpmfind which (I head) is an apt like
tool. This searches (all) available RPM repositroies (not just one), and
calculates dependencies. However, it doesn't seem to know I am using
Mandrake or Cooker and just chooses the latest out of any repositroy which
is bad. By default it should only use the repositroy for your dist. If
spmepme knows more about this tool I think it would be worth posting. Why
there isn't a frontend to rpmfind I don't know. But the mdk RPM tool never
worked for me anyway.
