Recursive install...(?)
Chose package groupings, clicked Next -- realized I forgot to select
"individual package selection"....  clicked Cancel, got groupings and
made the selection.  When the installer continued, it gave me a 2nd
progress window, slightly smaller than the first one, and the package
selection window is postage stamp sized -- well, actually barely
wide enough to show the name and checkbox, and only 3 lines worth.
Proceeded with installation....  until...

When it got to the create a boot floppy stage, I answered yes...  it
asked for a floppy -- I complied; but the system got stuck -- could
only switch between "Details" & "No details" and access VCs.

Even though I chose to install lilo on MBR, I was not presented with
the opportunity to add the 9.1 info -- due to above recursion?

Only way out was the 3-finger salute, which of course forced a full
fsck of all partitions.



Installation of unwanted s/w...

I was very careful to deselect Samba,
lisa, LinNeighborhood and YP; yet, these were all installed.

When making selections of which s/w to install, why aren't there lock
icons on all those packages which appear selectable, yet give a
package can't be selected/deselected dialog??

Under 9.1, I could use both a USB wheel-mouse _and_ the "stick" on my
IBM ThinkPad -- under 9.2, only the USB mouse is enabled. Sure would
be nice if a future installer would allow multi-mouse selections.

Battery monitor was not installed on laptop -- probably one of those
options for which there is no Help listed.  Maybe it's not obvious; but until it
becomes possible to install on a live system, there is no online help available
i the installer....



Networking... 
OK...  LinModems are not directly supported; that's OK...  but once it
and kppp installed... why should 9.2 not set a corect default route as 9.1 did?

System time....
No... this machine has NEVER had WinHosed on it...  the time was set
correctly in 9.1 -- 9.2rc2 should read 17:50 as I write this; instead,
it reads 9:50 -- EIGHT hours off!  

To repeat my main issue every new release of Mdk:  it's the INSTALLER
that needs work!!!
