Installed 9.2 RC2 as upgrade to working 9.1 installation. Installation proceeded
OK until reboot. Restart (using verbose mode) stopped stating incomplete
shutdown, checking file system - at approximately 23% the PC rebooted and
continued to reboot at the same figure. Tried a fresh install - same problem,
resized partitions and a fresh install with formatting - first reboot was
successful but on logging out and restarting PC the same problem occured. It
appears that on my system the shutdown is not completing properly and damaging
the file system enough to cause constant reboot. I have returned to 9.1 on the
same system and the same partitions and have no problem.
P4 2.0GHZ, 1 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 4 64MB, Installing on second hard drive dual
booting with XP
