I don't use Lilo. I don't want additional Grub stanzas simply because IBecause occasionally a newer kernel can cause problems. Plus having two different versions of the kernel can help checkout subtle issues. It's always been a good rule of thumb to have a fallback kernel just in case the install of the new kernel goes bad or has issues.
