description:
IBM Thinkpad A22p, APM. kernel 2.4.22.10mdk-1-1mdk, suspend-scripts-1.6-3mdk,
apmd-3.1.0-6mdk. With a card inserted the laptop emits a low high beep and will
not suspend. pcmcia services must be explicitly shutdown before machine will
suspend. pcmcia services will be brought back up on resume...

This happens with both a wireless card (linksys)and a USB2 (Adaptec) card inserted.

Works fine with 9.1...
