description:
I installed from a CD on a system with a single hard drive (linux only). In
the step where the bootloader is installed, the boot device list included
these devices (on hard drive hdb):

/dev/hdb
/dev/hdb1
/dev/hdb5
/dev/hdb6

Now, /dev/hdb5 is swap and I don't see how the boatloader can go there.
Also, /dev/hdb6 is /home and not suitable for the boatloader.

Its clear that the boot loader must be in one of MBR or / or /boot but
definitely not in /usr, /home, /var and other such partitions. So, such
partitions must be removed from the list of boot devices.
