Have a look at Bug#: 2186 about Flash readers : If I plug and unplug usb flashreaders from different vendors in any order, it is difficult to use them again. Now my compact flash reader is not configured correctly. In drakconf it appears as both : - unknown/other - Scanner ( ?! ) The associated sda usb storage drive is detected. Look at screen shot. The associated dynamic icon does not appear automatically in KDE anymore, as a consequence I suppose.
