On my dell inspiron 8000, kernel 2.4.22-10 hangs at boot just after
echoing "freeing 176 Ko of memory".
With 2.4.22-7 : boot is fine, apmd run fine (transition for ac to battery is
all right), firewire disk works with a the serialise_io sbp2 option.
With 2.4.22-9 : boot is fine, apmd hangs (transition for ac to battery hangs
the system ), firewire disk works with a the serialise_io sbp2 option.
With 2.4.22-10 : the system hangs just after echoing "freeing 176 Ko of memory".
With the multim�dia branch : firewire disk doesn'nt work at all, even with the
serialise_io sbp2 option.
