I encounter a major problem with sound playing with video. Using either plaympeg, or
xmps, i have to disallow sound to have a
normal framerate. Moreover, sound playing also turns the player unstable,
requiring a kill -9 command to shut down. I altough sometimes had normal
results ?!
It's not a perm problem, as it is the same for root. It is not a conflict with
another sound app, as none is running. Looking for sound-related process, i
found kaudioserver, kwmsound (i guess it is kde windows-manager sound demon),
and maudio (what is this). Even killing each of them doesn't solve the problem.
i precise i use recent 7.1 install with some cookers packages added, and a ess
solo-1 soundcard with kernel-support.
Anyone having some idea ?
