------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-22-09 20:41 ------- I opened this bug. The S3 Trio3D/2X card is fairly old, and I doubt any Mandrake developers have access to this card. I am upgrading my system and will send for free my S3 Trio3D/2X card to whoever honestly wants to work on a fix. Email me at the reporter's email address or at ryanknoll at yahoo.com with your address and URL to where you can prove previous work on Mandrake stuff. You should also must agree to make this fix public since I have encountered this problem and a few other distros (Suse). -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Mandrake 9.1 RC1 (and I think previous version as well): Detects correctly both my S3 Trio3D/2X 4MB video card orrect and my monitor NEC MultiSync XV17+ (-2) Hor. 31-82 kHz, Vert. 55-100Hz. Problem occurs when the detected VESA S3 Trio3D/2X driver is loaded, the screen display size is framed about 60% too small, far to the left, and very blurry. I tried several other drivers. I tried several other related S3 Trio generic drivers on the ISO CD with no success. RedHat 8.1beta uses VESA 86c368 [Trio3D/2X ] driver and works fine. It has worked fine with RedHat 8.0, Lindows, Libranet, Xandros, Lycoris, so I think it is the Mandrake package that has the problem. Let me know if you need more details.
