If so, then my previous comments stands; this is related to pam. Feel free to use 3.7.1p2... there must be a lot of testing and examination before this version goes into updates... it won't be quick. I also can't look at this until some time next week. But please, for curiousity sake, check to see if pam is disabled. If it is, please enable it and tell me if the delay is still there.
