I run RC2 on FX804 sony vaio laptop. The sound module is snd-via88xx. When I try to activate Alsa and sound services, both at boot time and by the mandrake configuration tool, the system crash. If I type modprobe snd-via88xx the system crash too. BUT, If I run the sound configuration tool, and I clik OK (I don't change anything) sound service magically runs (not ALSA) and the sound works (for instance with XMMS)
