Yup... how about this:
What I think could be cool is to have a webpage with all of the packages
on it, their current mandrake version, the current "stable" version and
the current "development" version. Plus a field with comments for
reasoning
why something can't be updated to the recent version. Put the names &
mailto:'s of the developpers (or a generic address) there where people
can
submit updates in version numbers. This could also work as a trigger
for a developper to update his / her package.
