Using a freshly installed Mandrake 9.2 rc2, the HP Deskjet �500 installed via
diskdrake
just prints Rorschach grayscale dot patterns instead of text, thus being totaly
unusable. This is
the case with plain text as with Postscript (Test) pages. In Mandrake 9.0 this also
was the
case, as indicated by the url.
WORKAROUND:
switching to the "Ghoscript djet500" drivers solves this problem.
