do you still see this problem with 9.2-16mdk?
it works for me (well i do not have any adsl connection, but the wizard did write the
right USER in /etc/ppp/ppoe.conf)
when running again the wizard, it reread smoothly the config and write it again
without
any changes (but some empty lines)
