I can confirm that, same thing happens with 9.2 final and my Logitech OEM M-S48a
PS/2 3 button wheel mouse. Motherboard is ECS K7S5AL with SiS 735 chipset. ACPI
and APM enabled, IO APIC disabled.
When selecting the generic PS/2 wheel mouse and going forward the mouse cursor
always moves and stays at the upper right corner of the dialog, mouse button
presses are recognized, mouse wheel movement isn't. And since there is no option
to go back and change the mouse I'll have to do without mouse during
installation or restart and choose generic PS/2 mouse and change it to wheel
mouse when system is up and running.
Same thing happened with 9.1, IIRC the bug on it was marked fixed but I can't
find it anymore.

description:
during installation my mouse is recognized as ps2 standard mouse.
if i change the mouse type to ps2 wheel the mouse makes uncontrollable moves and
clicks.
if i let it as ps2 standard all works fine (but no wheel supported) for sure :-) )
if i change it later in mandrake controlcenter IT WORKS with wheel flawless.
it seems this bug occurs only during installation.
this bug exists since i know mandrake and thats long ^ ^.
new is that im able to change it in control center while in graphical mode.
before i had to change mousetype in draktools from the console and then restart kde.
the mouse is a logitech oem M/N:M-S48a ps2 wheelmouse.
ps: sorry for my english but im german :-)
sincerely
