I think my argument went off track here My point was not to include one or the 
other. You are correct that one of the tools mentioned are used by any of the 
""normal"" users out there but hey you know some people like to pick at one 
little thing and blow it out of proportion. 

My only point was that emacs is huge and not used by the majority of real 
users. Which we on this list are not. We are sysadmin of developer types 
which are not the norm by any means. We have ideas on what is usefull and all 
the end users care about is 

does it work with my hardware
will my digital camera work with my computer 
is there software to do what I want to do
and sadly were can I buy more software. 

they are so used to being taken advantage of they really have no idea that 
there are so many little companies ripping them off selling them things that 
windows either includes but is hidden or there is another program that does 
the same thing for free.
