------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-20-10 17:41 ------- >From my observation, it appears that Mandrake split up some big KDE rpms (e.g. kdebase and kdenetwork) into smaller chunks. Thus, konsole moved from kdebase to kdebase-konsole and kmail moved from kdenetwork to kdenetwork-kmail. While I think this is a good idea and will make upgrading individual apps easier, they didn't do the upgrade properly. After I upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2 I had to run rpmdrake (K Menu -> Configuration -> Packaging -> Install Software) to get some of these tools which I had previously. Bugs 4254 and 5935 are similar to this, but I don't know if they qualify as duplicates. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: ASSIGNED creation_date: description: The install wizard failed to install the following packages for KDE: KDE : kdebase, libkdebase4, kdeaddons, libkdeaddons. Kmail could not be lauched and most of the program from koffice and other addons were not install and these were previously installed on 9.1 (PowerPack version) on an Athlon 1 GHz (clone).
