I noticed that also.

The model name associated with my Epson Stylus C82 is associated to a postcript
level 2 driver (which explains why postcript is sent to the printer). When I
configure the printer to Epson C82 then it works.
Saving the configuration solve the problem.

It used to work fine with Mdk 8.2 to 9.1.

I use Mandrake rc2 with :
        libgimp1.2_1-1.2.5-6mdk
        gimp-1.2.5-6mdk
        xsane-gimp-0.91-1mdk
        libgimp1.2-1.2.5-6mdk
        gimpprint-4.2.5-30mdk
        libgimpprint1-4.2.5-30mdk

I have 2 computers and 2 PC on a local network with CUPS.

PC#1 => Mdk 9.1                  Epson Stylus Photo 870
PC#2 => Mdk 9.2rc2 Epson Stylus Photo 900 (able to print on CD)

On PC#2, The test page is correct.
I can print a picure with kuickshow, OpenOffice prints nice (text + picture)
Scribus also...

But Gimp is not able to print a picture. Instead of a picture, it prints the
postscript listing :

%!PS-Adobe-3.0
%%Creator : Print plug-in V4.2.5 - 24 Han 2003 for Gimp-Print 4.2.5
....etc.....

I have tried all the combinations with Gimp.
Only PC#1 on eps870 works clean
PC2 -> eps870 or PC2 -> eps900  or PC1 -> eps900 print ascii.

What is missing ?
