It seems to me that cdrdao has some kind of "raw ripping" ability, though I haven't run into any copy protected CD's myself so I don't know if it will rely on the TOC and thus have problems with defective CD's such as this. I also could have sworn that cdparanoia had an "ignore tracks and just read the specified sectors" mode, but I can't find it now. Rob
