Okay, I figured out the problem.  The main page should render correctly now.  
The Twiki scripts convert all blank lines to <p /> tags.  If I take out the 
blank lines, the <p /> tags go away and all is well.  I will go through the 
site later and make sure it is consistent throughout the site.
