Yep it was reported twice as working (Asus A7V8X and the above). I have booted from it and immediatly done a restart afterwards. Now it can't read any CDs anymore. Had no problems before and since that drive is just a few weeks old i don't think it has reached its end of life point. With my TEAC 512EB all is fine. Will return the drive tomorrow and go for an NEC1300A or the like. And another note: Flashing the drive does not recover it from the damage, have tested it just an hour ago.
