i think it was fixed in test8-bk1 or bk2
(i had the same problem on a lan conection, but only with http, ssh & ftp
worked)

talking about test9?
aren't you scared by the posts on lkml ?
it might be that there a lot new testers,
but i never seen that much oopses & fail
reports with earlier test kernels

i would rather wait for a later bk snapshot
