I seldom need it tho, as I run three monitors.. and no, that's not all that big a deal any more when brand new 17 inch monitors are under a hundred, as are 19s with rebate, on occasion, a $99 (back then, now cheaper..) dual monitor out AGP card, and my old 4M PCI card off my old cards heap. Get the monitor used and add a discount PCI card if you have to purchase it, and it will STILL come in well under $100 to add a second 17" monitor to what you already have, often more like under $50.
