Dear list,
My first post. I have been with mdk builds for about a month now, having
come from a rpm/redhat background for the past year and slackware / tgz
since 1995. Very impressed with the mdk initial build, both 7.0 and 7.1.
One question that I have been unable to solve for my needs .. Will happily
RTFM if that is all thats needed, have given about a week to trial and
error .. Who can tell me exactly what is needed to put a microphone into
my sound card and run that voice out the icecast / shout / ??? server conf
? i've gotten it down to streaming mp3 remote, with shout or winamp .
1.3 / 0.80. i didnt have luck with 1.3.5 but could try again it was an
early attempt. What else is needed ? I can record in .wav or even
probably in mp3, but what has to occur to make that stream live ?
