I have a Gigabyte Athlon 64 motherboard (with the via chipset). I can access my
Windows XP installation and everything works correctly. My graphics card is a
NVidia 5600 based board. When I try to install using the GUI, my LCD display
shows Over Range and the GUI does not display (this does not occur if I try to
install 9.2 for i586). If I get it installed (via text mode) or if I install
9.2, the GUI interface will not display (this is with the stock nv driver, the
i586 nvidia driver, or the amd64 nvidia driver). I can access the shell fine in
either 9.2 (i586) or 9.2rc1 (amd64). I used this video card and LCD display
(Sceptre 19") before with my Athlon system, and everything worked ok with 9.2
(i586).
