description:
During installation I selected both GNOME and KDE. It installed KDE fine but
not all GNOME packages. In particular, these rpms were not installed:

gnome-session-2.4.0-3mdk.i586.rpm
gnome-user-docs-2.4.0-1mdk.noarch.rpm
yelp-2.4.0-2mdk.i586.rpmyelp-2.4.0-2mdk.i586.rpm
libgtkhtml2_0-2.4.0-1mdk.i586.rpm

Naturally, I tried to install them manually (from command-line rpm). The
yelp-2.4.0-2mdk.i586.rpm and libgtkhtml2_0-2.4.0-1mdk.i586.rpm rpms installed
fine. But the gnome-user-docs took about 2 minutes to install !! After that,
gnome failed to start. The startgnome script gave an error message like:

There was an error starting GNOME settings daemon.

        The last error message was:

        Failed to activate 'OAFID:GNOME_settings_daemon'

And, I am left with a blank (TWM like) blue screen.
