I'm sure you have seen by now all the other people who have mailed this list
claiming problems similar to those that the chap whose head you had for
lunch below is experiencing.
Just because you don't have the problems does not mean that problems do not
exist. In todays world of PCs no two machines are the same and different
problems occur on different setups.
I have a fairly standard setup, but get problems with Netscape. Regularly.
I am now waiting for Mozilla to be finished, Opera to be finished, or an IE
4/5 port for Linux, as they all seem to be nice and stable browsers.
Don't forget, Netscape is proprietary, and has money to be made elsewhere,
such its attention is not on Linux as fully as the Konqueror project, shall
we say. I realise that Opera and IE are proprietary as well, but we all
deserve a fair crack of the whip, don't we?

Subject: Re: [Cooker] Netscape 6.0 and good?
Excuse me master beta tester *scoffingly sarcastic remark* but which java
sites was it that "your" Netscape was choking on. Mine doesn't miss a
beat! Never has and likely never will. Can't think of a one and I've been
using Netscape since version 2.02. Now using version 4.73 on Linux
Mandrake 7.1. Formally a disgruntled Winblows user running same
version. Now that you mention it I haven't experienced any of the troubles
with the beta version of Netscape 6 that you have. In fact, my youngest
uses IM and since we've migrated the family PC from windows he's been
using the IM in Netscape6 without a hitch. Loads quickly and nicely. as do
the side bars. The only complaint I have so far with this version is that
the rendering engine is far slower than 4.60 - 4.73. Can't even hold a
candle to them.
