urpmi installs the latest kernel-source, but doesn't install the latest kernel and reboot your machine on it for you (would you *really* want this?). The driver package should warn you if the version of the kernel sources doesn't match `uname -r` though (although there are reasons why this would be valid, so it shouldn't exit/error).
