Hi,
Just my final report about using the acceleration with a voodoo3 under
XFree4.
First word: it's not quicker than under XFree-3.3.6
. I used the tip provided by <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to compile the tdfx
kernel module. (I'll have to see with fredl and chmou with which package
we can provide this module) Some warnings at the compile time but the
compile went fine, the modprobe also.

. I used Xfree86-libs-4.0-6mdk for the libGL stuff
. I used Mesa-common-3.2-4mdk for the libGLU and libglut stuff
. I used XFree86-glide-module-4.0-6mdk for the dri module (the 4.0.1 is no
more working AFAIK; fred working on it)
. misc point: I had a message with grDRIsomething missing when trying to
load any program. Yoann help me: it was a problem with Glide_V3 library;
we have to use the Glide_V3-DRI instead (worked for me prepending a
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libglide3x.so.2 to the programs)
