I spent a while trying to figure this out, and I'm stumped.
All src from gnome cvs repos won't configure. Tis a macros problem.
After running ./autogen.sh all the files are deleted(excluding src
sub-dirs). Here's all the fun errors from ./autogen.sh

You should update your own `aclocal.m4' by adding the necessary
macro packages gettext.m4, lcmessage.m4 and progtest.m4 from
the directory `/aclocal'

Running aclocal -I macros ...
aclocal: couldn't open `configure.in': No such file or directory
**Error**: aclocal failed. This may mean that you have not
installed all of the packages you need, or you may need to
set ACLOCAL_FLAGS to include "-I $prefix/share/aclocal"
for the prefix where you installed the packages whose
macros were not found
I did try setting macros="/usr/share/aclocal" that didn't work
also tried exporting ACLOCAL_FLAGS to the same, didn't work.
Any insight to what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated.
