FYI, maybe it is interesting for some of you: Besides sftp there are more methods for secure file-transfer: 1) Using "scp" of the ssh-package. 2) Use tunneling with ssh (needs local ssh-client and remote ssh-daemon). I also use ssh-tunneling for a kind of "secure-pop". Here's a sample .fetchmailrc: poll mail via localhost port 1243 with proto pop3: user my-login-name-remote pass my-remote-pop-password mda "/usr/bin/procmail -d my-login-name-local" keep preconnect "ssh -f -L 1243:139.6.1.1:110 139.6.1.1 sleep 10 </dev/null >/dev/null 2>&1"; have fun, Frank ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sending unsolicited commercial email to this address may be a violation of the Washington State Consumer Protection Act, chapter 19.86 RCW.
